Homework Announcement

There will be no homework during FCAT except for the Reading Log. During testing week, we want to be certain that all students get plenty of rest so they are fresh and alert for FCAT.

FCAT News

We begin taking the FCAT Test on Tuesday, March 9^th.  Reading will be tested on Tuesday and Wednesday. Math is on Thursday. Students will be tested first thing in the morning, so please be sure that your child is here on time. Our daily schedule (Special Area time) will change to accommodate testing.

FCAT Snacks and Nutrition

The district is providing cheese and cracker snacks for the students. I will provide apple juice for each testing day. I am also asking for donations of cereal bars (nut free) for the students to enjoy as a breakfast snack on testing days. If you would like to contribute, you may send in your donation on Monday, March 8^th.

Upcoming Events

On Friday, March 19^th, you are invited to our classroom to a Poetry Breakfast from 8:45 – 9:30.  Students will recite poems and share poems that they have written. Muffins and juice will be served.

On Thursday, March 25^th, the third grade will travel to Young Actors Theatre to see Disney’s Geppetto and Son. The cost of this trip is covered by the activity fee. The permission slip for this trip will be sent home next Friday.
